Facial Rejuvenation
Our facial rejuvenation treatments will provide you with a smoother, fresher appearance and can also be used as a preventative treatment to slow the process of aging on the face. As part of the aging process our skin produces less collagen and therefore looses elasticity, repeated use of the facial muscles causes the skin to become creased in areas of greatest usage.
Muscle relaxant injections, commonly known as ‘Botox’ are the most popular anti-aging treatment to prevent the formation of wrinkles and soften existing ones, The most popular areas for these injections are the forehead, the peri-orbital area (crows feet) and the glabella (frown lines between the eyes). Muscle relaxant injections, reduce the movement of the muscles they are applied to therefore preventing the creasing of the skin overlying them, this results in a smoother younger looking appearance for between 4-6 months, after this time the areas can be topped up. These injections have been used for over 30 years and have very few risks and no recovery time.
Dermal fillers are used to ‘fill’ folds and wrinkles, reducing their appearance and resulting in smoother, younger looking skin. Dermal fillers are well suited to the lower part of the face; the naso-labial lines (between the nose and mouth) and the marionette lines (around the mouth) respond well to this treatment. Dermal fillers can also be used to plump the lips, returning them to a younger appearance or plumping fine lips. Hyaluronic Acid is naturally occurring in humans and is the base for the most commonly used dermal fillers. The effect will last between 6-12 months and can be topped up- with repeated treatments producing a longer effect.
